Theatrical and Musical Delights in Our Historic Setting

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men – Twelfth Night

In their 21st anniversary year, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men return to Houghton Lodge Gardens to present Shakespeare’s greatest romantic comedy, “Twelfth Night.” This remarkable company performs as Shakespeare would have seen it—in the open air, with an all-male cast and authentic Elizabethan costumes, music, and dance.

Follow the romantic misadventures of Viola, shipwrecked and disguised as a man in Duke Orsino’s court, as she navigates a world of mistaken identity, practical jokes, and the confusion of love. This hilarious and lyrical performance runs approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes, including a 15-minute interval.
