We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and to thank all our visitors, friends and followers for their support this year.
2023 is an exciting year for us as we will celebrate the 230th anniversary of Houghton Lodge being built. We are working on a calendar of events to mark this historic occasion which will include the formal opening of our new Oriental Garden and the launch of our guide book which we are expecting back from the printers very soon and will be available to buy next year.
The gardens will also open earlier in the season allowing us to invite visitors to see the daffodils and scilla which are always so beautiful but rarely seen. We will keep you informed of these dates and ticketing information.
We are expecting Music On The Test to return in the summer and we are hoping that Summer Screens will return in September with three new films.
Our self-contained tourist accommodation, The Apple Rooms, continue to remain open through the winter. With free access to the gardens throughout your stay – perfect for early morning riverside walks and evening meaders through the walled garden. They are the perfect little winter retreat to escape the hurly-burly of normal life.
