Sunday July 31st from 12 noon to 4.30pm is the time to grab your friends and head to Houghton Lodge Gardens with your picnic, blanket and chairs. Here, in the historic landscaped and fragrant gardens, you’ll enjoy a rich tapestry of music, in tune with a beautiful landscape on the banks of the River Test – the most romantic river in England.
There’s something really special about kicking your shoes off, sitting back with a glass of something cold and bubbly, and appreciating live music under a summer sky.
There will be a collaboration of performing artists, which includes the superb Michelmersh Silver Band and Test Valley Brass bands. Joining the musical mix is live music from Sophie Pentecost and some mellow and sultry sounds of the saxophone.
If you’d like to partake in the quintessentially British tradition of a Cream Tea, you will need to pre-book them with on-site tea house, Daisy’s of Houghton call 01794 515408. The tea house is open all day. You really should pop in and try some of the scrumptious home-made cakes, light lunches and delicacies.
Tickets: £15.00 per person, children under 16 FREE
