The Dragon

Are you brave enough to go in search of the snorting dragon?!

This very special topiary dragon hides away in the darkness of the Dogwood, guarding his eggs. Beware all those who dare go near…! Created 20 years ago by Anthea Busk and her grandson Oliver (who is now 29!), he puffs away at any who dare venture near.

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Dragon has had a new clutch of eggs!!!! They are currently hatching and are in an incubator in the house – so far we can see a claw and the tip of a tail!!! We hope to return them to their mum as soon as we can.

The Mercury Border

Surrounding the Statue of Mercury in front of the house is our newly planted blue and white delphinium border, under planted with 1000 viridiflora tulips in mixed shades, and blue crocuses for an early springtime display. Also resplendent in early summer with cascades of purple aubretia and alyssum.
