daisys-to-blossomNestled in the corner of the eighteenth century Walled Garden of Houghton Lodge & Gardens in Stockbridge, Daisy’s of Houghton is an exciting new feature for the 2015 season.

Opening on the 14th March the newly refurbished Tea House and Orangery, the venture between Houghton Lodge & Gardens and The Daisy Cake Company in Romsey will provide visitors with fresh homemade food and refreshing drinks.

Already a popular visitor attraction with picturesque gardens, stunning views over the River Test and over 15 acres of meadows and walks, Sophie Busk, daughter-in-law the owner at Houghton Lodge, is excited to see the venue blossom, “We are thrilled that The Daisy Cake Company is coming to Houghton Lodge & Gardens. Whilst our self-service system has been enjoyed by many over the years, we have had a lot of requests via our visitor feedback forms for something more substantial for lunchtime visits and comments that visitor’s miss a friendly face.”

“The tea room has been renovated and looks absolutely beautiful and along with the new patio area, which is currently being built, we are working hard to greatly enhance the visitor experience at Houghton Lodge & Gardens.”

Daisy’s of Houghton will be revolutionizing the tea rooms with a new range of homemade cakes, specialist tea and coffee, freshly made soup, toasted sandwiches and Panini’s using fruit and vegetables from the walled garden.

Houghton Lodge & Gardens opens to the general public on 1st March 2015.
